David Jesco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Clodio in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Eusebio Clodio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ezeiza AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Clodio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Jesco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Igor Erramun might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidio Honrio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Erramun ran back to his position shaking his head. Florentino Unai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Honrio having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Lop stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 66 played minutes Ezeiza AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ceferino Pasqual. 68 minutes into the match, Alumbrera AFC's Igor Erramun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovidio Honrio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Alumbrera AFC booed when Ezeiza AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Lizbeth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florentino Unai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ovidio Honrio having to make a save. When Felipe Ponce came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ezeiza AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Ponce couldn't finish the play.
