In the 5th match minute, Irigoyen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Costante to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute, Leon Nel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armindo Moreira came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Irigoyen's Humberto Paublo. But to his dismay, Humberto Paublo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Abel Maidana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Jokin, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Irigoyen's Abel Maidana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Jokin in the 16th minute of play. Armindo Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Gilabert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Alejandro Jokin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Maidana was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Armindo Moreira came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Irigoyen's Reynaldo Gilabert. But to his dismay, Reynaldo Gilabert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Reynaldo Gilabert charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reynaldo Gilabert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reynaldo Gilabert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armindo Moreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Armindo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Gilabert in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute Reynaldo Gilabert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Irigoyen booed when Tejedor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Jokin didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Humberto Paublo made a kick off. Tejedor's Zeledon Xabat got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, Tejedor's goalkeeper Armindo Moreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Gilabert. After 56 played minutes Irigoyen got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Costante. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Xabat in the 59th minute of play forced Irigoyen's goalkeeper Abel Maidana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armindo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Paublo in the 63rd minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, Irigoyen's Reynaldo Gilabert made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armindo Moreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tejedor's Armindo Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Tejedor from getting a goal against them. Armindo Moreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Paublo's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 82nd minute Humberto Paublo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Leon Nel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Irigoyen getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Siro Rioja hit a great ball. Armindo Moreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Paublo's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Zeledon Xabat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Maidana having to interfere. Anastasio George was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 94 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Irigoyen's Anastasio George got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 95th minute Alejandro Jokin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Maidana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
