Leonides Delfino did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Erkut Hüdayioğlu 12 minutes into the match. Leonides Delfino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erkut Hüdayioğlu came out and tried to block the shot, but Leonides Delfino slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 22nd minute. 28 minutes into the match, La Máquina de River FC's goalkeeper Erkut Hüdayioğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delmiro Arnas. Ramon Aragones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Lorien in the 29th minute of the match. The supporters of La Máquina de River FC booed when Betelgeuse AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Che didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd match minute, Betelgeuse AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Santikurtz to maneuver through the defense. Erkut Hüdayioğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delmiro Arnas went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

With a little luck, Betelgeuse AFC's Ramon Aragones got control of the ball when Wilfredo Cutberto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Betelgeuse AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Santikurtz to maneuver through the defense. Narciso Galo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Betelgeuse AFC's Ramon Aragones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Gurutz in the 60th minute of play. Ramon Aragones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Frans in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Julian Lorien got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fulgencio Oxarra got free with Ramon Aragones in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Timoteo Iratzeder lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Betelgeuse AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of La Máquina de River FC:s goal. If Delmiro Arnas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute Delmiro Arnas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erkut Hüdayioğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 played minutes La Máquina de River FC got a freekick which was hit by Julian Lorien. Erkut Hüdayioğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Arnas, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Ramon Aragones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Gurutz in the 83rd minute of play. Delmiro Arnas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erkut Hüdayioğlu having to make a save. In the 92nd minute, Cosme Raitin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Betelgeuse AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of La Máquina de River FC for a fine match.
