The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Salvador Checa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 8 minutes into the game, Braulio Bazil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baldecitos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave marron del sud the free kick. After 8 played minutes Baldecitos got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Bazil. marron del sud's Cristo Frantzes managed to work through Baldecitos's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cristo Frantzes dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Hodei in the 15th minute of play forced Baldecitos's goalkeeper Salvador Checa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingo Hodei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of marron del sud booed when Baldecitos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Txema didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Lluc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Ortle having to interfere. Jorge Lluc kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 45 minutes of play Baldecitos's Santiago Eder was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 45th minute, Santiago Eder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristo Frantzes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salvador Checa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Lluc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Salvador Checa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Frantzes, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Domingo Hodei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 59 minutes, Jorge Lluc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Domingo Hodei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Checa having to interfere. In the 75th minute, marron del sud's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jorge Lluc fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Lluc got free with Filiberto Ortle in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes into the match, Jorge Lluc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filiberto Ortle. marron del sud's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Lluc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Thanks to some nice moves Jorge Lluc could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Filiberto Ortle however easily saved by the left post. Salvador Checa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Hodei, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. If Angelino Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filiberto Ortle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Lluc in the 94th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. marron del sud had won after a very even match.
