Cristian Lesardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 9 minutes into the game, Solano FC's Cristian Lesardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osvaldo Guillerme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 12 minutes, Baltasar Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La ChangoBand FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baltasar Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as La ChangoBand FC's Luis Silvino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Segundo Eliazar. That made the score 1-1 after 15 minutes of play. Fermin Gomez kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Solano FC's goalkeeper Segundo Eliazar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Silvino. After 29 minutes, Fermin Gomez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Solano FC and the La ChangoBand FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Osvaldo Guillerme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Artal in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute Cristian Lesardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Guillerme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rodolfo Tello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Segundo Eliazar was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luis Silvino was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Rodolfo Tello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Eliazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Solano FC defense, Luis Silvino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Segundo Eliazar. The Solano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Segundo Eliazar should have stopped the shot. La ChangoBand FC's Osvaldo Guillerme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save La ChangoBand FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Tello in the 66th minute of play forced Solano FC's goalkeeper Segundo Eliazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 played minutes Solano FC got a freekick which was hit by Siro Tuste. Solano FC's Segundo Eliazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jilian Jongbloedt in the 72nd minute of play. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Solano FC's goalkeeper Segundo Eliazar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Rodolfo Tello fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La ChangoBand FC's protests and gave Rodolfo Tello a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Solano FC booed when La ChangoBand FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Tello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodoro Lixandro made in the 90th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Cristian Lesardo immediately put the ball in play. Marcos Olayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 3-1 became the score in the 96th minute when Rodolfo Tello elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Solano FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
