C.A Talleres's Gustav Söderberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fulgencio Giraldo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 37th minute, Tacoyoj's Valentin Dei seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Valentin Dei the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tacoyoj protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Valentin Dei had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 37th minute, one of Tacoyoj:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tacoyoj. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Nataniel in the 44th minute of play forced Tacoyoj's goalkeeper Fulgencio Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of C.A Talleres booed when Tacoyoj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aaron Acevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Eron in the 68th minute of play. Fulgencio Giraldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Nataniel in the 69th minute of play. In the 75th minute, C.A Talleres's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Feliciano Pirro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. C.A Talleres's Aaron Acevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save C.A Talleres from getting a goal against them. If Melquiades Eron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filiberto Nataniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
