The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Unión AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Llorienzo came free, but Bonifacio Gorri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 16 minutes, Miguel Llorienzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuipán FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Llorienzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bartolo Txurio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Todor, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Jonatan Belo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bonifacio Gorri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Unión AFC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Alvaro Martxot hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the game, Cuipán FC's Jonatan Belo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bonifacio Gorri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of Cuipán FC booed when Unión AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Elia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Cuipán FC's Miguel Llorienzo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bonifacio Gorri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Miguel Llorienzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Gorri having to interfere. The Unión AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cuipán FC were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Llorienzo made a kick off. If Lázaro Todor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Unión AFC's Bonifacio Gorri got control of the ball when Jonatan Belo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th minute, Lázaro Todor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bartolo Txurio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Jonatan Belo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Bonifacio Gorri made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lázaro Todor in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bartolo Txurio saved Cuipán FC from getting behind. Lázaro Todor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bartolo Txurio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jonatan Belo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Miguel Llorienzo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Cuipán FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Llorienzo couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lázaro Todor in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bartolo Txurio saved Cuipán FC from getting behind. Bonifacio Gorri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Llorienzo in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cuipán FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
