Justo Etxekopar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Vimaro having to interfere. Alfonso Vergaray hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Justo Etxekopar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th match minute, Milan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Maule to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of River Plate booed when Milan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Normando didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Justo Etxekopar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Primitivo Vimaro. Milan FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Justo Etxekopar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Victor Osorio hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosme Maurin during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Milan FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Cosme Maurin hit a great ball. Primitivo Vimaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Etxekopar in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Etxekopar in the 29th minute of play forced Milan FC's goalkeeper Primitivo Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Milan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Osorio came free, but Primitivo Vimaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Justo Etxekopar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Primitivo Vimaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Primitivo Vimaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Pere in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Bertin in the 44th minute of play forced Milan FC's goalkeeper Primitivo Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonides Pere took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Primitivo Vimaro. Primitivo Vimaro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3.

The wind increased when Cosme Maurin made the kick off in the second half. Victor Osorio kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Primitivo Vimaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Bertin in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Bertin got free with Primitivo Vimaro in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Milan FC's Primitivo Vimaro got control of the ball when Justo Etxekopar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Milan FC's Primitivo Vimaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Milan FC from getting a goal against them. Primitivo Vimaro was a little too slow when Justo Etxekopar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-4. Justo Etxekopar in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Primitivo Vimaro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Justs Aunelis's late challenge caught a River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justs Aunelis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Justs Aunelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 84th minute of the match Justs Aunelis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Justs Aunelis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Justs Aunelis kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Leonides Pere fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A hard shot 88 in the game by Justo Etxekopar from a close distance when the talented Primitivo Vimaro managed to make a qualified save. Milan FC's players were relieved. Primitivo Vimaro came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Anselmo Bertin. But to his dismay, Anselmo Bertin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. If Leonides Pere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primitivo Vimaro was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Anselmo Bertin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anselmo Bertin really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. River Plate's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
