The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jesus Beremundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Arlindo Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, C.A Alumni's Arlindo Perez got control of the ball when Eusebio Loramendi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mario Valery might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arlindo Perez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mario Valery ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ezequiel Hechter fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A Alumni's protests and gave Ezequiel Hechter a yellow card for diving instead. Ezequiel Hechter hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Valery in the 19th minute of play forced C.A Alumni's goalkeeper Arlindo Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arlindo Perez was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Jesus Beremundo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jesus Beremundo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 26th minute Mario Valery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to C.A Alumni getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Emanuel Nerio hit a great ball. If Mario Valery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of C.A Alumni booed when Freckone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Beremundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freckone were furious when Jonatan Goito was red carded, 34 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Jonatan Goito kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Marco Basajaun kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in C.A Alumni's zone, Mario Valery stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arlindo Perez came out of the goal and Mario Valery tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jesus Beremundo might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arlindo Perez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jesus Beremundo ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ezequiel Hechter was the one to do the kick off. Hermengildo Poz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Basajaun in the 55th minute of play. Arlindo Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Loramendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ceferino Frantzes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Perez having to interfere. Mario Valery hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Freckone's goalkeeper Hermengildo Poz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Nerio. Mario Valery kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The long shot by Ladislao Orlondon in the 73rd minute really tested Hermengildo Poz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Ceferino Frantzes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75thth minute of the game Ceferino Frantzes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A Alumni's Arlindo Perez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Freckone defense, Fausto Charro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hermengildo Poz. The Freckone fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermengildo Poz should have stopped the shot. Arlindo Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Beremundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite being the better team, Freckone failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
