Mateo Burutzagi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Michael in the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 21 minutes, Damaso Michael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porvenir Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damaso Michael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolas Gartzen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Burutzagi having to interfere. Mateo Burutzagi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Michael in the 27th minute of play. If Lázaro Serafo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porvenir Talleres's Joaquin Isauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Serafo in the 33rd minute of play. Nicolas Gartzen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Gartzen in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Burutzagi saved Esquel from getting behind. In the 45th minute Nicolas Gartzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Burutzagi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lázaro Serafo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damaso Michael was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Fabricio Dayam left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esquel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 60th minute of the match, Nicolas Gartzen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mateo Burutzagi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Porvenir Talleres's zone, Fabricio Dayam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Isauro came out of the goal and Fabricio Dayam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the match, Lázaro Serafo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Isauro. Porvenir Talleres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lázaro Serafo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When Robustiano Santana fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esquel's protests and gave Robustiano Santana a yellow card for diving instead. Robustiano Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Damaso Michael hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Damaso Michael charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damaso Michael the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd minute, Damaso Michael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Porvenir Talleres:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Esquel:s goal. The Esquel fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Esquel's Lázaro Serafo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A well placed Damaso Michael short distance shot in the 96th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Esquel had played much better football throughout.
