If Raimundo Isias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Diego Acuña could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Alexandros Eleftherou made a huge save. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Magdalena AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Severo Ciano was slow to take the kick. During this time Barcelona 's players had a chance to rest. If Raimundo Isias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Raimundo Isias put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rosendo Orti. After having played for 31 minutes, Raimundo Isias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magdalena AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Isias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Isias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Barcelona booed when Magdalena AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Rocio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Isidro Quinten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Magdalena AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidro Quinten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rosendo Orti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 55th minute Ubaldo Manny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandros Eleftherou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Isias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 played minutes Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Sayvion. A collision led to Magdalena AFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Raimundo Isias hit a great ball. Isidro Quinten might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rosendo Orti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isidro Quinten ran back to his position shaking his head. Raimundo Isias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Rosendo Orti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Isias in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rosendo Orti saved Barcelona from getting behind. When Isidro Ugutz came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Magdalena AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidro Ugutz couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barcelona 's goalkeeper Rosendo Orti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isidro Quinten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Roman Geleberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magdalena AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
