The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gary Rush hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Virgilio Haitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haroldo Minjaraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leon Hori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Minjaraz in the 19th minute of play. Chañaritos FC's Leon Hori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Haitz in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Deportivo San Vicente's Humberto Arnas got control of the ball when David Peyo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Chañaritos FC's zone, Virgilio Haitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Hori came out of the goal and Virgilio Haitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elvio Donostia kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Haroldo Minjaraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Leon Hori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 minutes, Gary Rush mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo San Vicente and the Chañaritos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Deportivo San Vicente got a freekick which was hit by Gary Rush. In the 39th match minute, Deportivo San Vicente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Eneas to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute, David Peyo made a precise shot to the right of Humberto Arnas. Deportivo San Vicente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgilio Haitz to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Maxin in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leon Hori saved Chañaritos FC from getting behind. After 61 played minutes Chañaritos FC got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Filipo. Leon Hori was a little too slow when Haroldo Minjaraz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 2-2. After 66 minutes, Lucio Acuña mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chañaritos FC and the Deportivo San Vicente players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th minute, one of Chañaritos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chañaritos FC. In the 68th minute, Baldomero Gartzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Haroldo Minjaraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Chañaritos FC got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Filipo. After 74 played minutes Chañaritos FC got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Filipo. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Virgilio Haitz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. One of Deportivo San Vicente:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chañaritos FC:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Ramond in the 84th minute of play forced Chañaritos FC's goalkeeper Leon Hori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Chañaritos FC's goalkeeper Leon Hori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haroldo Minjaraz. Chañaritos FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Deportivo San Vicente had controlled the match.
