Atilano Todor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Jecu in the 17th minute of play. Marco Igon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Moise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Nunez Cheche ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Igon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Radoslaw Pawelczyk struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Atilano Todor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Milan. When Leon Garikoitz fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 44th minute, Braulio Goren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Atilano Todor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Goren in the 54th minute of the match.
