Carreras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mihai Meleșcanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Lorenz Jarkovsky received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luiz Eduardo Esteves came out and tried to block the shot, but Lorenz Jarkovsky slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 15th minute. Luiz Eduardo Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenz Jarkovsky's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Dalmai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Silvio Maureo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Kinsen in the 25th minute of play forced C.A.Rosario Central's goalkeeper Silvio Maureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmiro Berto's late challenge caught a C.A.Rosario Central's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delmiro Berto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Carreras getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Delmiro Berto hit a great ball. If Albano Natal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Dalmai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvio Maureo. C.A.Rosario Central's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lorenzo Dalmai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. With an all-out effort, C.A.Rosario Central's Luiz Eduardo Esteves threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lorenz Jarkovsky, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Dalmai in the 41st minute of play forced C.A.Rosario Central's goalkeeper Silvio Maureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Apolo Kinsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Maureo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the C.A.Rosario Central defense, Apolo Kinsen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvio Maureo. The C.A.Rosario Central fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvio Maureo should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lorenz Jarkovsky made a kick off. Carreras's Luiz Eduardo Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihai Meleșcanu in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Carreras's Lorenzo Dalmai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvio Maureo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. Lorenzo Dalmai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Silvio Maureo made a huge save. Silvio Maureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Kinsen in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, C.A.Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Kinsen came free, but Silvio Maureo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lorenz Jarkovsky came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the C.A.Rosario Central fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenz Jarkovsky couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the match, C.A.Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Lorencio came free, but Silvio Maureo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvio Maureo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Delmiro Berto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-5 in the 72 minute of play. With a little luck, C.A.Rosario Central's Silvio Maureo got control of the ball when Lorenzo Dalmai tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th match minute, C.A.Rosario Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Sedeni to maneuver through the defense. Lorenzo Dalmai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvio Maureo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Delmiro Berto was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of C.A.Rosario Central booed when Carreras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Berto didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lorenz Jarkovsky in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Eduardo Esteves saved Carreras from getting behind. Lorenz Jarkovsky's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Eduardo Esteves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Mihai Meleșcanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carreras played a much better game than C.A.Rosario Central and deserved their victory. The C.A.Rosario Central players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
