If Isidoro Cristos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Benvido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauro Bazkoare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Patricio Abadie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnulfo Benvido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Benvido in the 17th minute of play forced Siján's goalkeeper Patricio Abadie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Bazkoare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Patricio Abadie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. The Independiente fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Independiente's Augusto Guerreiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arnulfo Benvido might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patricio Abadie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnulfo Benvido ran back to his position shaking his head. When Mauro Bazkoare came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Bazkoare couldn't finish the play. If Mauro Bazkoare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute Rene Uxio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Panțâru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Romeo Panțâru throw himself and got hold of the ball when Rene Chaime in the 48thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rene Uxio was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Isidoro Cristos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Abadie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidoro Cristos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Patricio Abadie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Siján's Patricio Abadie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Benvido in the 59th minute of play. In the 68th minute Dalmacio Cebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Panțâru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Gavino Etxepare was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Siján's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente the free kick. In the 71st minute Arnulfo Benvido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Abadie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnulfo Benvido received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Patricio Abadie came out and tried to block the shot, but Arnulfo Benvido slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 72nd minute. After 75 played minutes Siján got a freekick which was hit by Rene Uxio. Patricio Abadie was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arnulfo Benvido showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 77 minute of play. Independiente's Isidoro Cristos got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 82 minutes, Arnulfo Benvido managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnulfo Benvido was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnulfo Benvido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patricio Abadie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Isidoro Cristos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 85th match minute, Siján was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Chaime to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Abadie was a little too slow when Mauro Bazkoare got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-4. Patricio Abadie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnulfo Benvido in the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Independiente left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Siján.
