Maximiliano Gilesindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Urki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Los Wachiturritos booed when Deportivo Ateneo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Gartzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 played minutes Deportivo Ateneo FC got a freekick which was hit by Prospero Esquipula. The supporters of Deportivo Ateneo FC booed when Los Wachiturritos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. The Deportivo Ateneo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Gregorio Gartzen shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 85th minute, Gregorio Gartzen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Astor Lando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Ateneo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Astor Lando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximiliano Gilesindo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patricio Urki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Gilesindo having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Gregorio Gartzen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maximiliano Gilesindo. The goal made the score 0-3. Gregorio Gartzen charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gregorio Gartzen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Deportivo Ateneo FC played a much better game than Los Wachiturritos and deserved their victory. The Los Wachiturritos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
