He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Maximo Domingues. Adan Guillen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximo Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustacio Rivero in the 42nd minute of the match. A collision led to Club Atletico Atlanta getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Fidel Maura hit a great ball. When Eustacio Rivero came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Deportivo Derrota fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eustacio Rivero couldn't finish the play. The Club Atletico Atlanta fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Club Atletico Atlanta's Isidoro Vasco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eustacio Rivero to make the kick off. Esteban Bero was a little too slow when Isidoro Vasco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 4-3. 68 minutes in the game, Isidoro Vasco fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Esteban Bero having to interfere. If Eustacio Rivero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustacio Rivero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Maximo Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Alejo Fidele was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Atlanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Derrota the free kick. The supporters of Deportivo Derrota booed when Club Atletico Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Fidele didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eustacio Rivero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Eustacio Rivero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Derrota's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustacio Rivero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Domingues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hernan Gorri struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Maximo Domingues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Derrota. 91 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Eustacio Rivero came free, but Maximo Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Deportivo Derrota booed when Club Atletico Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Fidele didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eustacio Rivero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atletico Atlanta players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Deportivo Derrota.
