The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafino Orixe got free with Celedonio Sotero in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eustacio Claude showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Abarca, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Rosario Central's Eustacio Claude played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Franco in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute António Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Sotero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celedonio Sotero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdzislaw Obuchowicz in the 20th minute of play. Celedonio Sotero made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Serafino Orixe sent off a good shot on target. Cirilo Franco scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eustacio Claude, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Abarca in the 34th minute of play forced Rosario Central's goalkeeper Eustacio Claude to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Carneiro in the 36th minute of play forced Jobson's goalkeeper Celedonio Sotero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Jobson's Celedonio Sotero got control of the ball when German Nayely tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eustacio Claude showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Franco, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Hector Nastasio lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 41st minute, one of Jobson:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jobson. Celedonio Sotero went to the wrong direction when German Nayely was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Serafino Orixes short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Celedonio Sotero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Rosario Central's Donato Txordon was substituted for German Nayely. Rosario Central's Cesar Telesforo was substituted for Angel Sadurni. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zdzislaw Obuchowicz made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Zdzislaw Obuchowicz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celedonio Sotero was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blas Abarca during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rosario Central booed when Jobson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Abarca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Hermengildo Lawrence sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celedonio Sotero skillfully saved the ball. The throw-in from Octavio Evarado in the 66th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Rosario Central's Elpidio Opilano. Blas Abarca struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Eustacio Claude didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jobson. In the 74th minute, António Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafino Orixe in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celedonio Sotero saved Jobson from getting behind. In the 78th match minute, Jobson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cirilo Franco to maneuver through the defense. Blas Abarca struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Eustacio Claude didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jobson. Hugo Rius scored 1-3 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eustacio Claude, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Serafino Orixe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celedonio Sotero was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
