If Živan Vučurević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 6 played minutes Tacura got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Jaizki. In the 9th minute, Manchester City's Aurelio Normando ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Miguel Alvarez. Miguel Alvarez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Gaspar Patrido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaston Gartzea. Manchester City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaspar Patrido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Aurelio Normando struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Miguel Alvarez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester City. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester City's zone, Melchor Telo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaston Gartzea came out of the goal and Melchor Telo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Tacura's Gaspar Patrido got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Živan Vučurević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Živan Vučurević in the 27th minute of play forced Tacura's goalkeeper Miguel Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Medardo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Manchester City's Gaston Gartzea. Gaston Gartzea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aurelio Normando succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 32nd playminute. If Melchor Telo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaston Gartzea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Bilbo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Telo in the 40th minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper Gaston Gartzea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Patrido came free, but Gaston Gartzea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Živan Vučurević fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Alvarez having to interfere. Pascual Sendoa hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Živan Vučurević stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Ermegildo Medardo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaston Gartzea was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. 61 minutes into the match, Moises Bilbo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaston Gartzea. Manchester City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moises Bilbo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Aurelio Normando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Tacura getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. David Hustaz hit a great ball. In the 77th match minute, Manchester City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Jax to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th play minute Moises Bilbo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gaston Gartzea. 2-5. Cornelio Jax fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Alvarez having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Gaspar Patrido took a quick shot and it went in 3-6 without a chance for Gaston Gartzea to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Manchester City getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Cornelio Jax hit a great ball. If Moises Bilbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manchester City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Gaspar Patrido scored to the left of an out of position Gaston Gartzea, making the score, 3-7. The Manchester City supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tacura's performance. The match ended with a win for Tacura.
