A collision led to Gualeguaychú AFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Higinio Estevon hit a great ball. After 16 played minutes, Talleres's Hernan Misael shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cecilio Urti came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Talleres reached it. Gualeguaychú AFC's Cecilio Urti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Stephen in the 20th minute of play. Eliseo Soter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Cecilio Urti made a huge save. Eliseo Soter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Gualeguaychú AFC's Clemente Gau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filiberto Bitxintxo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cecilio Urti came out of the goal and Eliseo Soter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th match minute, Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimeno Lixandro to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute Clemente Gau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Bitxintxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filiberto Bitxintxo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Gau, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Joel Stephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Urti having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Talleres had won after a very even match.
