In the 24th minute Anacleto Lando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elivélton Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Colon de santa fe's Ludvig Delin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Przemyslaw Malewicki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Desiderio Licerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Przemyslaw Malewicki having to interfere. Efrain Caradaro kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The supporters of Colon de santa fe booed when Club Atletico River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Gotzon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
