Lorenzo Odilon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Venceslas having to interfere. Norberto Castel scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fausto Galindo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fausto Galindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Gaueko in the 16th minute of play. If Lorenzo Odilon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenzo Odilon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Froilan Izotz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uranga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Delmar Gaueko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delmar Gaueko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lorenzo Odilon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Uranga could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Victoria AFC throughout the match.
