The crowd rose to their feet as Abbott FC's Victorio Roland slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcio Urbieta. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Pierres in the 12th minute of play forced CORONA FC's goalkeeper Marcio Urbieta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 played minutes CORONA FC got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Cordareo. 28 minutes into the game, Victor Argoitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Abbott FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CORONA FC the free kick. The referee gave CORONA FC a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mario Matro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Abbott FC's Zeledon Monte. 2-2. Zeledon Monte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rikard Bäckström's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, CORONA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Pierres came free, but Marcio Urbieta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40thth minute of the game Rikard Bäckström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abbott FC's Zeledon Monte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute, Abbott FC's Anier Kepa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcio Urbieta. Marcio Urbieta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Zeledon Monte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rikard Bäckström in the 53rd minute. In the 53rd minute, Victorio Roland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CORONA FC's Marcio Urbieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Vistruario in the 55th minute of play. Marcio Urbieta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan Vistruario went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Marcio Urbieta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Roland, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A hard shot 64 in the game by Rikard Bäckström from a close distance when the talented Zeledon Monte managed to make a qualified save. Abbott FC's players were relieved. Mario Matro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of CORONA FC booed when Abbott FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Pierres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcio Urbieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anier Kepa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute Mario Matro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Monte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When %teams%'s Mario Matro was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 4-3 just inside the left pole, 74 minutes into the game. Zeledon Monte was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Vistruario in the 78th minute of play forced CORONA FC's goalkeeper Marcio Urbieta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CORONA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romeo Pierres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-4. Mario Matro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 92 minutes into the match, CORONA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Vistruario came free, but Marcio Urbieta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Abbott FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Matro came free, but Zeledon Monte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
