CORONA FC's Marcio Urbieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Ruy in the 5th minute of play. Maximo Gabrio hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Marcio Urbieta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Ruy in the 12th minute of the match. Geronimo Esquipula kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Epifanio Ruy sped through CORONA FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcio Urbieta. Mario Matro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of CORONA FC booed when River Plate. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Esquipula didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rikard Bäckström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Fulgencio Tibalt made a huge save. Aldo Chinto kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Maximino Galo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Marcio Urbieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Epifanio Ruy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcio Urbieta was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Fulgencio Tibalt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Matro in the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of CORONA FC booed when River Plate. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Ruy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Rikard Bäckström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fulgencio Tibalt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Matro in the 44th minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Maximino Galo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Galo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mario Matro to make the kick off. If Mario Matro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate.'s zone, Mario Matro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Tibalt came out of the goal and Mario Matro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th match minute, CORONA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Gumaro to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Aaron Ashby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute of the game Aldo Chinto made a throw-in which Agustin Tanio played forward. In the 67th match minute, River Plate. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Ruy to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Aguilera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcio Urbieta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Fulgencio Tibalt came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by CORONA FC's Rikard Bäckström. But to his dismay, Rikard Bäckström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Aaron Ashby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Fulgencio Tibalt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fulgencio Tibalt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Matro, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. CORONA FC's Marcio Urbieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Pabla in the 93rd minute of play. When Mario Matro came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the CORONA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Matro couldn't finish the play.
