Chimborazo A.C's José Francisco Molina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Maties in the 27th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Chimborazo A.C got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Olando. Emílio Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epifanio Olando, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Everardo Paz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Alves having to interfere. Epifanio Olando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emílio Alves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. When Ali Cafer Erdemli came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Chimborazo A.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Cafer Erdemli couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Ali Cafer Erdemli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chimborazo A.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Cafer Erdemli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emílio Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fulgencio Boniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Francisco Molina having to interfere. Chimborazo A.C were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Dolores to leave the ground with a draw.
