Cecilio Iyan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Maximo Pacorro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Atlético Tucumán's Robert Barna managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lucas Osmundo in the 42 minute of the game. Club Atlético Tucumán's Maximo Pacorro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Colas in the 46th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Tucumán's Sergio Perico got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leopoldo Colas made a kick off.
