After 7 played minutes San Carlos Reggae got a freekick which was hit by Dragoş Căliman. Rafael Rameriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Atauri in the 10th minute of play. San Carlos Reggae's Rafael Rameriz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Abarca in the 23rd minute of play. After 25 played minutes Gamay AFC got a freekick which was hit by Albino Atauri. 29 minutes into the match, Gamay AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dragoş Căliman came free, but Hermengildo Karlo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Dragoş Căliman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Gamay AFC's Fernan Tino got a free kick in the 35th minute. Fermin Baumar hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The supporters of Gamay AFC booed when San Carlos Reggae was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoş Căliman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Bakar to make the kick off. If Gilberto Bakar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Marcos Roldan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rafael Rameriz, 0-1. In the 63rd minute, Dragoş Căliman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermengildo Karlo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Gilberto Bakar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fermin Baumar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Rafael Rameriz made a huge save. After having played for 75 minutes, Dragoş Căliman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Carlos Reggae's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dragoş Căliman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dragoş Căliman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Rameriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Abarca, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Rafael Rameriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Roldan in the 92nd minute of the match. The supporters of Gamay AFC booed when San Carlos Reggae was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Estevez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Esteban Calvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. San Carlos Reggae's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
