Nereo Belarmo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Los Carditos Futbol getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Alfonso Hernandez hit a great ball. Joel Cresenciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Delfino in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Florian Rademacher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anier Taurino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fanuco Mulas in the 22nd minute of play. Joel Cresenciano was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Armando Delfino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Armando Delfino really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Francesco in the 28th minute of play forced Los Carditos Futbol's goalkeeper Joel Cresenciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Los Carditos Futbol's Joel Cresenciano got control of the ball when Aristides Lazcano tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute Alfonso Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Taurino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the game, Emilio Crescencio landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 33 minutes, Filiberto Chan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Carditos Futbol and the Merced FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Los Carditos Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiberto Chan to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Filiberto Chan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Taurino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Merced FC defense, Alfonso Hernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anier Taurino. The Merced FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anier Taurino should have stopped the shot. Los Carditos Futbol's Joel Cresenciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Los Carditos Futbol from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Los Carditos Futbol getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Fanuco Mulas hit a great ball. With his leg Joel Cresenciano managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Merced FC's Aristides Lazcano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Hernandez made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Merced FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Chuan to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute of the match, Fanuco Mulas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anier Taurino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Merced FC's Anier Taurino got control of the ball when Fanuco Mulas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Merced FC's goalkeeper Anier Taurino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fanuco Mulas. In the 63rd minute, Armando Delfino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Merced FC's Santos Montay got a free kick in the 64th minute. Los Carditos Futbol's Norberto Silviano got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Merced FC booed when Los Carditos Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Itzaina didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Hernandez in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anier Taurino saved Merced FC from getting behind. 74 minutes into the match, Merced FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fanuco Mulas came free, but Anier Taurino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Cresenciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Lazcano in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Merced FC's goalkeeper Anier Taurino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fanuco Mulas. The crowd rose to their feet as Fanuco Mulas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anier Taurino. That made the score 1-2 in the 83 minute of play. When Filiberto Chan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played. After 90 played minutes Los Carditos Futbol got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Chan. Joel Cresenciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Lazcano in the 91st minute of play. Anier Taurino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the game, Merced FC's Cesar Oliverio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Cresenciano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.
