In the 9th minute, Vilgot Myhr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12th minute, Vilgot Myhr left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The QUILMES CAPO DEL SUR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When QUILMES CAPO DEL SUR's Vilgot Myhr in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ernesto Ferrer's late challenge caught a QUILMES CAPO DEL SUR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Ferrer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Rumioj AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Ferrer to maneuver through the defense. Melquiades Firme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilgot Myhr in the 36th minute of the match. Ernesto Ferrer was shown his second yellow card after 42 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Rumioj AFC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ernesto Ferrer hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vilgot Myhr in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melquiades Firme saved Rumioj AFC from getting behind. The Rumioj AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. QUILMES CAPO DEL SUR were winning 0-1.

If Vilgot Myhr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 played minutes Igor Lopes rounded Rumioj AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Melquiades Firme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vilgot Myhr's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Igor Lopes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Melquiades Firme when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Melquiades Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Naelio in the 66th minute of play. When Lisandro Mundo came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Rumioj AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Mundo couldn't finish the play. If Placido Jakobe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Confesor struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Melquiades Firme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for QUILMES CAPO DEL SUR. Melquiades Firme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Lopes in the 80th minute. Rumioj AFC's Melquiades Firme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Lopes in the 82nd minute of play. Igor Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Firme having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vilgot Myhr's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Firme was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
