In the 6th minute, Ismael Suero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Boca Junior's goalkeeper Fausto Garikoitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian George. In the 11thth minute of the game Emesto Iniesta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal F. C.'s Emanuel Irimia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emesto Iniesta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emesto Iniesta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Emanuel Irimia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 21 minutes into the game, when Ceferino Inautzi put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Arsenal F. C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Atletico Boca Junior:s goal. If Emesto Iniesta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Carlos Pinho in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Irimia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Octavio Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Garikoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Octavio Herrera reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fausto Garikoitz. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 37th minute, Octavio Herrera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Octavio Herrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Octavio Herrera to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, José Carlos Pinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Irimia. Arsenal F. C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Carlos Pinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Emesto Iniesta got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If José Carlos Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the game, one of Arsenal F. C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 75 minutes into the game, José Carlos Pinho lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Emanuel Irimia. In the 82nd minute, Donato Lia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute José Carlos Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Irimia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th match minute, Arsenal F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Suero to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Bernabe Mingo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bernabe Mingo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Garikoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 92 minutes into the match, Arsenal F. C.'s Bernabe Mingo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fausto Garikoitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emesto Iniesta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Irimia having to make a save. 96 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Boca Junior's goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Mingo came free, but Fausto Garikoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filiberto Edorta took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Garikoitz. Fausto Garikoitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The Arsenal F. C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Atletico Boca Junior's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Atletico Boca Junior.
