The referee ignored Chacras's protests and gave Freddy Sandaili a yellow card for diving instead. Freddy Sandaili kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Justo Porfiro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Chacras's Nereo Tab. Nereo Tab was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th minute Romeo Sagrario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Perutxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute Clodoveo Segio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Perutxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rivadavia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Flavio Johans was slow to take the kick. During this time Chacras's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Chacras's corner Flavio Johans fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Saturnino Perutxo quite easily take care of the ball. Rivadavia's Saturnino Perutxo couldn't get a good grip on the ball when Flavio Johans shot the distance nicking the right pole and went into goal in the 15th minute, 1-1. Mario Orland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Feliberto Aimar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Mogel made in the 29th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Clodoveo Segio immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Segio in the 30th minute of play forced Rivadavia's goalkeeper Saturnino Perutxo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gualterio Matei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Saturnino Perutxo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Segio, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Pedro Esdras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rivadavia's Saturnino Perutxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Orland in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rivadavia's goalkeeper Saturnino Perutxo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sergio Feliz struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Saturnino Perutxo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chacras. With a little luck, Rivadavia's Saturnino Perutxo got control of the ball when Mario Orland tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Rivadavia's zone, Mario Orland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saturnino Perutxo came out of the goal and Mario Orland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute, Gualterio Matei fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 66th minute, Freddy Sandaili hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nereo Tab stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Modesto Stanislao's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Romeo Sagrario hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the game, one of Rivadavia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Saturnino Perutxo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Eleazar in the 81st minute of the match. In the 84th minute Mario Orland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Perutxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Modesto Stanislao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saturnino Perutxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Orland in the 92nd minute of play. Sergio Feliz charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sergio Feliz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, Chacras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Feliz to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute Mario Orland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Perutxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rivadavia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
