Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Jorge Salbatore left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lanús FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 7th minute Anders Björklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Remicio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luisito Tanio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleto Erramun, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Basilio Valentine dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luisito Tanio, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Leones's Candido Txilar got a free kick in the 17th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Anders Björklund notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Leones's Gaspar Remicio. Gaspar Remicio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the match, Leones's goal looked a bit too open when Anders Björklund came free, but Gaspar Remicio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Leones's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gualterio Daunte was slow to take the kick. During this time Lanús FC's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Lanús FC's Richard Coulange got a free kick in the 31st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Efraim during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Camilo Efraim hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. A collision led to Leones getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Cleto Erramun hit a great ball. After 46 minutes of play, Lanús FC's Anders Björklund made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaspar Remicio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gaspar Remicio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anders Björklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Remicio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Sundström in the 56th minute of the match. Luisito Tanio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Lope in the 57th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Salbatore got free with Gaspar Remicio in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaspar Remicio came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Lanús FC's Anders Björklund. But to his dismay, Anders Björklund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. In the 69th minute, Lanús FC's Elias Maidana seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Elias Maidana the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Lanús FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Elias Maidana had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 70th minute, Elias Maidana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camilo Efraim struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Luisito Tanio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leones. After 77 minutes of play, Leones's Cleto Erramun made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisito Tanio was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Gaspar Remicio managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Lanús FC's Jorge Salbatore fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 84 minutes, Felipe Elixio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lanús FC and the Leones players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Lanús FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Elixio to maneuver through the defense.
