The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adrian Oto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Martxot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Ranolfo in the 13th minute of play forced Tiburon's goalkeeper Luis Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Avellaneda's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Martxot came free, but Adrian Oto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Tiburon getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Matias Gaskon hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Benito Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Evaristo Milio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelino Ranolfo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Tiburon's Matias Gaskon got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 39 minutes, Evaristo Milio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tiburon and the Avellaneda players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tiburon getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Evaristo Milio hit a great ball. Luis Lastur came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Avellaneda's Benito Maria. But to his dismay, Benito Maria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelino Ranolfo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Zachariah Hendrickson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Oto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Martxot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Avellaneda's Ulises Diaz got a free kick in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Leonardo Martxot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiburon's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Martxot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Oto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Feliberto Abalos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zachariah Hendrickson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Adrian Oto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Luis Lastur managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Avellaneda's Benito Maria fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luis Lastur was a little too slow when Marcelino Ranolfo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-2. After 79 minutes, Leonardo Martxot made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Avellaneda's Adrian Oto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 87 minutes into the match, Avellaneda's goal looked a bit too open when Zachariah Hendrickson came free, but Adrian Oto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonardo Martxot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
