Victor Jakobe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgard Oliverios's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Arturo Taurino hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Edgard Oliverios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Rafaela's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Oliverios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Jakobe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute Arturo Taurino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbano Bazkoare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Edgard Oliverios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Rafaela's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Oliverios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 22nd minute, Racing Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Boguslaw Iwanowski fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 24 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goalkeeper Victor Jakobe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgard Oliverios. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Velasco in the 25th minute of play forced Atletico Rafaela's goalkeeper Urbano Bazkoare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Arturo Taurino made a precise shot to the right of Urbano Bazkoare. Atletico Rafaela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Raphael in the 29th minute of play forced Atletico Rafaela's goalkeeper Urbano Bazkoare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atletico Rafaela's Urbano Bazkoare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Taurino in the 31st minute of play. If Edgard Oliverios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 36 minutes, Edgard Oliverios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Rafaela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Oliverios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38thth minute of the game Edgard Oliverios who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Victor Jakobe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Julio Joachim put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Atletico Rafaela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Racing Club:s goal. Teodoro Markel walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agustin Raphael was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgard Oliverios in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Jakobe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clodoveo Papo during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th minute, Clodoveo Papo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Juan Kaiet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agustin Raphael charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustin Raphael the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Agustin Raphael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 68th minute of the match Clodoveo Papo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Clodoveo Papo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Joel Behe hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Edgard Oliverios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Victor Jakobe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Iwanowski came free, but Victor Jakobe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Boguslaw Iwanowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Jakobe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 94th minute, Edgard Oliverios got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atletico Rafaela were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
