The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Cristo Cebrian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juntas's Eriberto Alvarenga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 4th minute, Siro Blanco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristo Cebrian in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eriberto Alvarenga saved Juntas from getting behind. A collision led to Batel getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Luciano Jon hit a great ball. Justo Loren scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eriberto Alvarenga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 16 minutes into the match, Juntas's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Cebrian came free, but Eriberto Alvarenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruperto Nuñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Chap in the 20th minute of the match. Eriberto Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Cebrian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juntas's attentive Honorio Dominguez managed to snatch the ball when Luciano Jon made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 33rd minute of the match, Honorio Dominguez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ruperto Nuñez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 34th play minute Siro Blanco came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ruperto Nuñez. 1-1. If Justo Loren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Justo Loren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliciano Chesus took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eriberto Alvarenga. Juntas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Blanco in the 47th minute of play forced Batel's goalkeeper Ruperto Nuñez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Eriberto Alvarenga didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Batel's Cristo Cebrian shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Luciano Jon kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Eriberto Alvarenga made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Cristo Cebrian sent off a good shot on target. Batel's Ruperto Nuñez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Blanco in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Pablo Donio sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Eriberto Alvarenga threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Pablo Donio this time. Luciano Jon hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Siro Blanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Nuñez having to interfere. Eriberto Alvarenga made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Cristo Cebrian sent off a good shot on target. The Juntas manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Batel to win.
