Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Mosen took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mauro Rencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justo Loren, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes into the match, Batel's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Txurio came free, but Ruperto Nuñez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Thompson's Saul Txurio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ruperto Nuñez. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. In the 16thth minute of the game Justo Loren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thompson's Mauro Rencio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Batel booed when Thompson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Belmiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Cebrian in the 19th minute of play forced Thompson's goalkeeper Mauro Rencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saul Txurio might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruperto Nuñez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saul Txurio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 22nd minute Saul Txurio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Nuñez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thompson's Mauro Rencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Cebrian in the 27th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Daniel Mosen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Saul Txurio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ruperto Nuñez came out and tried to block the shot, but Saul Txurio slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 34th minute. Mauro Rencio came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Batel's Justo Loren. But to his dismay, Justo Loren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Cristo Cebrian took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauro Rencio. Mauro Rencio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 45th match minute, Batel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Santio to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Batel's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Mosen came free, but Ruperto Nuñez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Justo Loren made a kick off. Mauro Rencio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristo Cebrian in the 51st minute. Thompson's Mauro Rencio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Thompson from getting a goal against them. Batel's Ruperto Nuñez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Txurio in the 56th minute of play. Cristo Cebrian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Abel Santio made a precise shot to the right of Mauro Rencio. Thompson's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Mauro Rencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Loren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Cristo Cebrian sped through Thompson's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mauro Rencio. Ruperto Nuñez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Txurio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77thth minute of the game Saul Txurio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Batel's Ruperto Nuñez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 79th minute, Abel Santio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Justo Loren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Batel's zone, Daniel Mosen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruperto Nuñez came out of the goal and Daniel Mosen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Although Thompson had been in control for most of the match, Batel still came away with the win.
