Marcelo Maxin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Celedonio Nerio made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albano Demesio in the 41st minute of play forced DOUGLAS HAIG's goalkeeper Oscar Peli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd of the match, Eugenio Romo tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Celedonio Nerio got in the way and made a wonderful save. Honorato Gaitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Albano Demesio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oscar Peli came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Club El Porvenir's Albano Demesio. But to his dismay, Albano Demesio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 89th minute of the match, Omar Uhin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Oscar Peli saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Artur Linhares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Oscar Peli. That made the score 1-5 in the 92 minute of play.
