After a defensive mix-up in Merlo FC's zone, Gustavo Moise stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidoro Mundo came out of the goal and Gustavo Moise tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermengildo Eleazar's late challenge caught a Merlo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermengildo Eleazar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Livorno Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermengildo Eleazar to maneuver through the defense. Hermengildo Eleazar was shown his second yellow card after 13 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Hermengildo Eleazar kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Merlo FC's zone, Benito Ermano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidoro Mundo came out of the goal and Benito Ermano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustavo Moise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Mundo having to interfere. In the 25th minute Gavino Oxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Jatsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Benito Ermano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Mangueira in the 36th minute of play forced Merlo FC's goalkeeper Isidoro Mundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Belmiro Mangueira took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Isidoro Mundo to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Oxel in the 41st minute of play forced Livorno Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Christian Jatsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Merlo FC's Saul Chucho got a free kick in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnulfo Feliz was the one to do the kick off. Benito Ermano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 54 minutes, Benito Ermano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Livorno Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Ermano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Livorno Fútbol Club were furious when Benito Ermano was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Benito Ermano hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Merlo FC's Gonzalo Meder couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Livorno Fútbol Club. A collision led to Livorno Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Rene Txatxu hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Gonzalo Meder sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Christian Jatsu threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Gonzalo Meder this time. In the 65th minute of the match, Gavino Oxel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Christian Jatsu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Livorno Fútbol Club's Rene Txatxu got a free kick in the 66th minute. Isidoro Mundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Moise, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Gustavo Moise notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Merlo FC's Isidoro Mundo. Isidoro Mundo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Gustavo Moise managed to get in a good position for a shot. Livorno Fútbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Moise was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidoro Mundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Belmiro Mangueira hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Christian Jatsu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gonzalo Meder. If Gustavo Moise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Faustino Mano in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Livorno Fútbol Club's Belmiro Mangueira. In the 87th minute, Belmiro Mangueira made a precise shot to the right of Isidoro Mundo. Merlo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Isidoro Mundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafin Gartzen in the 90th minute of play. Habakkuk Zaubris scored 5-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isidoro Mundo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute Gustavo Moise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Mundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
