Niceto Cordera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A collision led to Tobantirenda getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ovidio Elija hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, DEFENSORES DE RAMOS MEJIA's Niceto Cordera threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximino Rodas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Tobantirenda's zone, Maximino Rodas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Cordera came out of the goal and Maximino Rodas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niceto Cordera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbano Flores, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Tobantirenda's Felipe Ralondo got a free kick in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Tobantirenda getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Amadeo Lope hit a great ball. Niceto Cordera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Rodas in the 81st minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Ovidio Elija was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tobantirenda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DEFENSORES DE RAMOS MEJIA the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Atilano Rocendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niceto Cordera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Rodas, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Marciano Fertus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Cordera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melquiades Chorche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Erlantz, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
