Gonzalo Loco hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Alejandro Haritz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Samborombón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Luzuriaga AFC booed when Samborombón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Nalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Leheren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Arias in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute, Lucas Rodas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Leheren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 21st minute, one of Samborombón:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Samborombón. The referee gave Luzuriaga AFC a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Samuel Arias, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Samborombón's Abel Leheren. 2-1. After 37 minutes of play, Samborombón's Alejandro Haritz made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Slavey Danailov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucas Rodas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Leheren having to interfere. Slavey Danailov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Haritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fidel Ledesma was the one to do the kick off. Reynaldo Olayo's late challenge caught a Luzuriaga AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Olayo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Samborombón getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Reynaldo Olayo hit a great ball. After 53 minutes of play, Luzuriaga AFC's Lucas Rodas made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 65th minute, Reynaldo Olayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilbert Laba charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilbert Laba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Nalo couldn't finish the play. Luzuriaga AFC's Slavey Danailov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Luzuriaga AFC from getting a goal against them. Slavey Danailov was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Pablo Elixio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pablo Elixio really showed his touch with that goal: 3-5. In the 74th minute, Reynaldo Olayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gonzalo Loco during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Slavey Danailov made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Alejandro Haritz sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Samborombón eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
