In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Calamar's goalkeeper Ulises Hotz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 5th minute of the match Nicanor Maxin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulises Hotz skillfully saved the ball. Roberto Toribio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcelo Santio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Calamar's goal looked a bit too open when Everardo Alvarez came free, but Ulises Hotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulises Hotz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Everardo Alvarez's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Roberto Toribio made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Marcelo Santio sent off a good shot on target. Everardo Alvarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 26th match minute, LQS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melchor Uzuri to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, LQS's Arturo Virila got a free kick in the 27th minute. Roberto Toribio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Santio, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Conrado Cilio made in the 29th minute of the game a quick throw-in and German Lopez immediately put the ball in play. Roberto Toribio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Gonsalvo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Everardo Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th match minute, Club Atlético Calamar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Cilio to maneuver through the defense. After 42 played minutes, LQS's Arturo Virila shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ulises Hotz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LQS reached it. Marcelo Santio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Roberto Toribio made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Everardo Alvarez made a kick off. Ricardo Distiratsu hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Everardo Alvarez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Ulises Hotz made a huge save. LQS's Roberto Toribio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by German Lopez in the 57th minute of play. Melquiades Peruanton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roberto Toribio. LQS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Roberto Toribio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Gonsalvo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Toribio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Lopez in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Everardo Alvarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Everardo Alvarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ulises Hotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Marcelo Santio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Roberto Toribio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcelo Santio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Toribio having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Melquiades Peruanton made a precise shot to the right of Roberto Toribio. LQS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 86th minute Marcelo Santio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Toribio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Calamar's Marcelo Santio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roberto Toribio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 91st minute, Genaro Mattin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Marcelo Santio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto Toribio was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Club Atlético Calamar walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
