If Sebastian Araoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the game, Mulcahy AFC's Delmiro Ruisko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eleuterio Panfilo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mulcahy AFC! The goalkeeper, Damian Lixandro, was totally fooled by Mercedes FC's Benigno Poncio, who 16 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Oscar Baudelio struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Eleuterio Panfilo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mulcahy AFC. Mercedes FC's Sebastian Araoz got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mulcahy AFC's Oscar Baudelio got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 26th match minute, Mulcahy AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Obano to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Jairo Nuxila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Mulcahy AFC's Damian Lixandro got control of the ball when Urbano Menendo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeremias Sayveon hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Araoz in the 40th minute of play forced Mulcahy AFC's goalkeeper Damian Lixandro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmiro Ruisko kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mulcahy AFC's zone, Sebastian Araoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Lixandro came out of the goal and Sebastian Araoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 44 in the game by Urbano Menendo from a close distance when the talented Damian Lixandro managed to make a qualified save. Mulcahy AFC's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urbano Menendo got free with Damian Lixandro in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Urbano Menendo made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 47thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Damian Lixandro would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Urbano Menendo made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Carolo Bibiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Mulcahy AFC defense, Aaron Abechuco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Lixandro. The Mulcahy AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Lixandro should have stopped the shot. Eleuterio Panfilo was a little too slow when Delmiro Ruisko got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 2-3. Jeremias Sayveon was shown his second yellow card after 67 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 68th match minute, Mulcahy AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Sayveon to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the game, Jairo Nuxila was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mulcahy AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mercedes FC the free kick. The supporters of Mercedes FC booed when Mulcahy AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Nuxila didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Mulcahy AFC's Carolo Bibiano got a free kick in the 81st minute. Damian Lixandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Araoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Urbano Menendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Damian Lixandro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Jeronimo Jaen threw the ball into play from the sideline. Mulcahy AFC's Delmiro Ruisko quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 96 minutes, Oscar Baudelio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mulcahy AFC and the Mercedes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mulcahy AFC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Mercedes FC had controlled the match.
