A collision led to Club Atletico Tigre getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ennio Colantonio hit a great ball. Edelmiro Su scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Seguinus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Omar Cuartio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Maximo Aimar hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Edelmiro Su ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Seguinus was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Aguilares FC's Omar Cuartio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Aguilares FC from getting a goal against them. When Salih İltay fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Tigre's protests and gave Salih İltay a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Salih İltay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cecilio Abeitia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Aguilares FC's Cecilio Abeitia got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half Aguilares FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and German Urtzi made a kick off. If German Urtzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aguilares FC's Omar Cuartio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Ticho in the 63rd minute of play. Cecilio Abeitia kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The supporters of Aguilares FC booed when Club Atletico Tigre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dante Vimaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Aguilares FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
