Fausto Gabino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venancio Iraido in the 12th minute of the match. Fausto Gabino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Iraido in the 19th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Jeremias Gomez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cássio Tande was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erasmo Tercero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 32 minute of play. After 36 minutes of play, Los Pitufos Asesinos's Venancio Iraido made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fausto Gabino was left in no man's land by his defense there! It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 43rd minute, but Cássio Tande got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Los Pitufos Asesinos hanging dry this time. If Justino Urritz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Erasmo Tercero made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Erasmo Tercero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
