After having played for 10 minutes, Rodolfo Gabino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hualcupén's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Gabino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Cucullú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Gergori came free, but Ernesto Ramone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ildefonso Savion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Bermudo in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Osvaldo Txurio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute of the match Edelmiro Hori shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ildefonso Savion showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ernesto Ramone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Gabino in the 22nd minute. After 24 played minutes Hualcupén got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Cai. A collision led to Cucullú FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Humberto Fagondo hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Cucullú FC's Ubaldo Abadie got a free kick in the 26th minute. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Rodolfo Gabino sped through Cucullú FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ernesto Ramone. Rodolfo Gabino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Ernesto Ramone when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ildefonso Savion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Ermano, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

2-0 became the score in the 57th minute when Rodolfo Gabino elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Cucullú FC booed when Hualcupén was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Timo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anier Paez's late challenge caught a Cucullú FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anier Paez helped the player get up and apologised. Cucullú FC's Ernesto Ramone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Gabino in the 73rd minute of play. Ernesto Ramone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Gabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Gabino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Ramone. Cucullú FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodolfo Gabino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Jonatan Gergori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ernesto Ramone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Abadie in the 84th minute of play forced Hualcupén's goalkeeper Ildefonso Savion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hualcupén's Ildefonso Savion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Ermano in the 87th minute of play. Mario Ioritz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ildefonso Savion came out and tried to block the shot, but Mario Ioritz slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 89th minute. Hualcupén's Ildefonso Savion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Ermano in the 93rd minute of play. Cucullú FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leonides Niguel in the 95th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Ermano in the 98th minute of play forced Hualcupén's goalkeeper Ildefonso Savion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cucullú FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
