In the 3rd minute, Lázaro Jorrin had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leo Cruz during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Recompou Storm getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Leo Cruz hit a great ball. Gilberto Montes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th match minute, Recompou Storm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Maria to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Montes struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Leopoldo Naldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Lorenzo de Almagro. If Gilberto Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Montes to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo de Almagro's Ruben Benat got a free kick in the 54th minute. With a little luck, San Lorenzo de Almagro's Americo Ponciano got control of the ball when Leo Cruz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute Leonel Criston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Naldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leo Cruz in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Americo Ponciano saved San Lorenzo de Almagro from getting behind. After 79 minutes of play, San Lorenzo de Almagro's Gilberto Montes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leopoldo Naldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to San Lorenzo de Almagro getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Romulo Oso hit a great ball. San Lorenzo de Almagro's attentive Marcelo Lizbeth managed to snatch the ball when Ruperto Guib made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game.
