Thomás Marinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Desiderio Eliazar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thomás Marinho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 4th match minute, Atlético Chilecito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Ritchie to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Ritchie in the 8th minute of play forced Nueva chicago's goalkeeper Angel Otoniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel Otoniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Bizi in the 9th minute of the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Inocencio Chus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nueva chicago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inocencio Chus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Inocencio Chus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Tadeo Formerio fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Chilecito's protests and gave Tadeo Formerio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, one of Atlético Chilecito:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético Chilecito. The referee gave Nueva chicago a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Federico Iratzeder, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético Chilecito's Desiderio Eliazar. 1-0. When Martin Cordara fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Chilecito's protests and gave Martin Cordara a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nueva chicago booed when Atlético Chilecito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Cordara didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Victorio Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 55 played minutes, Nueva chicago's Federico Iratzeder shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Desiderio Eliazar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nueva chicago reached it. Thomás Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Desiderio Eliazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Bizi kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to Atlético Chilecito getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Arturo Bizi hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Atlético Chilecito's goal looked a bit too open when Thomás Marinho came free, but Desiderio Eliazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Arturo Bizi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. After 65 played minutes Atlético Chilecito got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Bizi. In the 77th minute, Victorio Ritchie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nueva chicago's Inocencio Chus got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Desiderio Eliazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Chus in the 87th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Thomás Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Eliazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nueva chicago's Angel Otoniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Nueva chicago from getting a goal against them. Virgilio Illart kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Nueva chicago walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
