Victorino Merexildos short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Jonatan Gabino to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 22 minutes into the match, MECHITA's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Catini came free, but Jonatan Gabino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Roderigo hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Jonatan Gabino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlo Catini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Carmelo Teodor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes MECHITA got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Roderigo. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlo Catini was the one to do the kick off. When Carmelo Teodor came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the MECHITA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Teodor couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the MECHITA defense, Carlo Catini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonatan Gabino. The MECHITA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonatan Gabino should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of MECHITA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Ferro Carril Oeste:s goal. MECHITA:s Jonatan Gabino showed great skill when he stopped Aurelio Eleder:s penalty. Aurelio Eleder kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Fabricio Atarrabi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Ferro Carril Oeste's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MECHITA the free kick. The supporters of MECHITA booed when Club Ferro Carril Oeste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Atarrabi didn't get a good kick on the ball.
