The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hornillos FC. When the match had been going on for 4 minutes, Pirquitas's Aaron Goyo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Baldomiro Quin. Aureliano Abadie took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Justo Leheren. Justo Leheren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Silvio Rolado hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. When Hector Martino came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Hornillos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Martino couldn't finish the play. Hector Martino's late challenge caught a Pirquitas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Martino helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hornillos FC's Hector Martino got a free kick in the 15th minute. Nicasio Cordeiro hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Marcos Dabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Justo Leheren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Dabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Hector Martino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Justo Leheren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baldomiro Quin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Eliazar in the 28th minute of the match. With a little luck, Hornillos FC's Baldomiro Quin got control of the ball when Marcial Nofre tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcos Dabi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Leheren having to interfere. If Hector Martino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcos Dabi struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Justo Leheren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hornillos FC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 64th minute Apolo Eliazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Quin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marcos Dabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Lop during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 97 played minutes Hornillos FC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Lop. Baldomiro Quin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcial Nofre went, in the 99th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Pirquitas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
