If Celedonio Viator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 8 minutes into the match, Zeledon Polo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fermin Cutberto, 1-1. Fermin Cutberto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicanor Papo in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicanor Papo got free with Fermin Cutberto in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Fermin Cutberto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Felix Michael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Papo in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Papo in the 19th minute of play forced Club Atlético Cienfuegos's goalkeeper Fermin Cutberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Michael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Matia in the 21st minute of the match. Severino Papo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Michael having to interfere. Zeledon Polo made in the 29th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Higinio Bermudo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Mikelats during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Romeo Mikelats ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felix Michael was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Club Atlético Cienfuegos's Celedonio Viator got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Michael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Matia in the 38th minute of the match. Club Atlético Cienfuegos's Romeo Mikelats suffered a sprained foot after 39 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 39 minutes into the game, Higinio Bermudo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Argentino de Quilmes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Cienfuegos the free kick. Club Atlético Cienfuegos's Edgard Lorenz was substituted for Romeo Mikelats. Higinio Bermudo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. With a little luck, Club Atlético Cienfuegos's Fermin Cutberto got control of the ball when Nicanor Papo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute Higinio Bermudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fermin Cutberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Club Atlético Cienfuegos were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Felix Michael was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Argentino de Quilmes's Felix Michael proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Argentino de Quilmes from getting a goal against them. When Zeledon Polo fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Argentino de Quilmes's protests and gave Zeledon Polo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Atlético Cienfuegos booed when Argentino de Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Polo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Cienfuegos made a substitution. Clemente Canor replaced Severino Papo. Juan Matia succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 81st playminute. 85 minutes into the match, Edgard Lorenz notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Argentino de Quilmes's Felix Michael. Felix Michael was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Felix Michael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Matia, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Felix Michael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Canor in the 89th minute. Juan Matia struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Felix Michael didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Cienfuegos. Celedonio Viator was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Club Atlético Cienfuegos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Juan Matia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
